Tonight we ventured out to a noodle stand near our house for a lavish 60 Baht ($1.60) meal. We ordered in broken Thai (better than NO Thai) and got (mostly) what we intended.
So as we sat there an elephant and it’s trainer wandered past. They were offering little bags of sugarcane for 20 Baht so people can feed the elephant. So I paid the guys and the kids fed a baby elephant right there at the streetside dinner table. How very cool. Where else in the world could this happen?
It just occured to me how very lucky/blessed we are to live here in this rather obscure, tropical city.
