Now that Ramadan and Eid is over – and all the Muslim folk asking for gifts has finally pretty much stopped – it is now the Hindu holiday of Dussehra.
With this wacky week comes non-stop temple music, burning of huge idol effigies (sorta like burning man, but with an evil, papier mache twist), and Sadhu guys coming to our house asking for temple donations. Hmmm. No thanks.
And to think I used to be harassed my simple telemarketers…
