We’ve been in Tinystan for just about 70 days now. Just a bit over 2 months. Life is going well, language is an uphill battle, and we just had an amazing God-crafted reunion.
The guy in the photo on the right, we’ll call him Kom, is an old friend that I met in another country 17 years ago. He was just a young Int’l student then and we were studying the Bible together. We used to meet 3 times a week to study the Bible and talk about life.
And then he left to head back to is country and I didn’t see him again. For 17 years.
However, I heard he was back in Tinystan after working in a few other nearby nations. And I was praying about how I could contact Kom and was trusting God to show us what to do.
Suddenly, a few days ago I was walking with my daughter home from school and suddenly a guy shouts out in the road,
“D, is that you?!?”
I turn and find both of these guys working in the street together digging up an old rusty pipe. It turns out that water had suddenly sprung from Dil’s yard and he called Kom for help. And they just happened to be outside looking for the source at the very same moment that I happened to walk down the street… on a street I have rarely ever walked down.
What a day!
So now that God has reconnected us, we are hoping we can help invest more in Kom and Dil in the months ahread. Also, Kom has also asked for an English Bible which is impossible to find here. Pray we can find the right resources and that both of these guys will become genuine Jesus seekers in the days ahead.
