Jen and I got the chance to be extras in the filming of an Andy Lau film here in Chiang Mai last night. This would be a pretty big deal if I was a Chinese teenage girl. However, I am not.
While we tried to restrain ourselves from mobbing him, we do hear this guy is pretty darn famous in parts of Asia. In fact, I’d heard about the guy during my Hong Kong days, but somehow the magic wasn’t there last night as we sat on the set pretending to be rich patrons at a swanky 5-star restaurant in the Chiang Mai hotel The Chedi.
I’m a bit bummed that I never got a photo with this guy. Especially now that I’m reading online how groovy he is. Anyways, we’re hoping this adds to our star status here in Chiang Mai and maybe even gets us in on the sets of the next big guru of Asian film – Jackie Chan.
