Yes, we???re here??? back in the States once again. After a few days in Thailand to scout out our future home city we took off (man, we love flying) once again towards the States. After 4 flights we arrived in New York where we went through immigration, customs, and??? missed our flight.
This was the first ever time I Dan have ever missed a flight in my life. But wait??? it gets even better! New York was in the midst of the full-on transit strike that you all saw on the news. Ha. So not only did we miss our flight, but they routed us through another airport to catch a flight from there. The American Airlines lady told us with great compassion when we arrived at the gate late for our flight:
???No problem. There is a flight leaving tomorrow from La Guardia. There???s seats available. But I don???t know how your going to get there as there is no bus service in this city and taxi are almost impossible to find.???
Man, I love New York. Obviously, though, we made it back to North Carolina and are here, safe and warm and away from those weird New Yorkers. Oh, wait. My wife???s a New Yorker. Oops.
